Would you like to know the easiest way to stand out and get noticed in your coaching business?

Ironically, it took me seven long years of struggle and effort to discover this secret – but I see no reason why it should take you seven years!

My failure to stand out and get noticed was because I was married to the wrong clients – I say married because I’ve come to see my business as a relationship – one that’s always interacting with me. And in the same way that it’s important to be married to the right person, you have to discover the right people to serve.

I was once in a relationship with a guy for many years and he was always asking me to marry him. But there was a quiet voice that kept telling me that he was not the one. Unfortunately, I refused to turn up the volume of that wise voice, but there were other indicators that were giving me the same message.

I never felt excited about talking about him to my friends; in fact, I was never inspired to hang out with him and other people. And I’m ashamed to say that although he was a nice guy (most of the time), I didn’t feel proud to show him off – there were parts of his personality that I felt embarrassed by.

What has all of this got to do with standing out and getting noticed?

The problem of not standing out and getting noticed in your business is a confidence problem for many coaches. And the reason they don’t feel articulate, expressed, and confident is because they’re not working with the right people – they’re not deeply connected to the problems they are trying to solve. They’re not in love. And so, it makes sense why they hide out and play small.

You’ll know when you’ve found the right partner – the right client – because when you do, you’ll want to stand on that rooftop and tell the world how much you care about them and want to help them. This you will know in your bones.

And that's when your confidence, voice, and ability to express will automatically kick in.

It’s good to spend some time initially playing the field and “dating” clients – but it shouldn’t take you seven years! Take the time to reflect on what problems you truly care about – what problems break your heart? – what issues have you experienced yourself? Because when you do, your potential clients will say: She really gets me! She really understands what I’m going through.
