Whether you’re searching for a soulmate, trying to get a job promotion, or aiming to have an impactful online business – all these pursuits require that you know and own who you are and what you are offering. It demands that you know your value and your worth.
Why? Because a confident person who knows their value is irresistible, convincing, and extremely magnetic.
Now, this doesn’t mean that EVERYONE will be attracted to you – sorry to break it to you, but you’re not everyone’s cup of tea! But someone will be – the right person will be – and that’s all that matters.
When I first started dating my husband, I knew what to say to him, there was no pretense, no feeling awkward, no feeling like an imposter. I was myself. I knew who I was. I liked myself. And that energy pulled in the right person for me (and fortunately, it was him!).
When I was working as a high school teacher, I was in a different place. I remember trying to convince the principal that I deserved a pay raise while all the time feeling like an imposter – I was so unconvincing. I didn’t get the raise.
When I first started my coaching business, I didn’t really know who I was – one month I was a weight loss coach, the next month I was a find your purpose coach, then a career coach. I was all over the place. My messaging was all over the place. I had no credibility.
I can see now that success in attracting what I want was so connected to me knowing who I am – knowing my worth. It’s such a powerful signal to send out.
Take the time to get to know yourself. Know what’s worthy and attractive about yourself. Get to know what you are genuinely good at work (and not so good at!) in your coaching business.
Don’t fake it; own it. Because when you do, you’ll know exactly what to say. You won’t be lost for words and have to make things up. You won’t feel panicked or overly nervous.
Coming from a genuine and authentic place is the easiest way to be in life. And this is what I mean by being honest with yourself. Are you faking your way through life? Have you honestly taken the time to get to know yourself – your worth – your value?
Honesty and confidence are the foundation of your becoming magnetic.
